House prices in Great Britain increase by 1.26%
The Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML) has published new figures which reveal an improvement in the number of first time buyers securing a mortgage in December 2013.

House price rises boost home mover funds
House prices in Great Britain increased by 1.26% in the last quarter of 2013 to an average of £246,781. This was largely supported by rises in the South and the Midlands as property prices in the North of the country dropped.
